01Who we are
This website is operated by AppsInfo Services, doing business as appsInfo ("appsInfo", "we", "us"), located in Ontario, Canada. We provide software consulting, development, Azure cloud, Azure Integration Services, AI integration, and QA and testing services.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through this website. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its fair information principles.
02Information we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:
- Contact form: your name, company, email, phone number, the service you're interested in, budget range and your message.
- Job applications: your name, email, phone number, the role you're applying for, profile links, your resume and anything you include in it or in your note.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Technical information: basic data your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, through server logs and, if enabled, analytics tools.
Please don't send us sensitive personal information (for example health or financial details) through the website unless we ask for it.
03How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call or meeting.
- To prepare proposals, estimates and contracts you ask for.
- To assess job applications and contact candidates.
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribed. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the website secure, fix problems and understand how it's used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for purposes you wouldn't reasonably expect without asking you first.
04Consent
By submitting a form on this site, you consent to us using your information for the purpose described next to that form and in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or consider your application.
We send marketing emails only to people who have given consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
05Sharing your information
We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need. These may include:
- Website hosting and form handling (Cloudflare, which hosts this site and passes contact messages, job applications with resumes, and newsletter sign-ups to us by email; the website itself does not keep a copy)
- Our email provider (Google Gmail), where those messages are received and kept
- Accounting and professional advisors
These providers must protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case the new owner must protect it as described here.
06Where your information is stored
Your information may be stored or processed in Canada and in other countries where our service providers operate, such as the United States. When it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and authorities. We choose providers that offer strong security and, where possible, Canadian data centres.
07How long we keep it
- Enquiries and contact messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records: as long as needed to deliver services and meet legal and tax requirements (generally six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires).
- Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
08How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, strong authentication and limiting access to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
09Cookies and analytics
This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load third-party scripts. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
10Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and how it's used.
- Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your information, subject to legal requirements.
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
To make a request, email us using the details below. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
11Children's privacy
This website is meant for businesses and job seekers. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
12Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as Microsoft documentation or social media. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
